http://Alamospringscafetx.com Alamo Springs Cafe sits adjacent to one of Texas’ most intriguing state parks, Old Tunnel State Park, an old railroad tunnel which ceased operations in 1942. Since the shutdown, the tunnel has become a bat cave hosting more than three million Mexican free-tailed bats and 3,000 Cave myotis bats.
Alamo Springs Cafe serves lunch and dinner five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday. The cafe hosts free live, local music on Friday and Saturday nights 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
The cafe is owned and operated by Brian O’Neill, a restaurant veteran who has managed establishments as diverse as Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden, Uchi, Max’s Wine Dive and Gus’s Fried Chicken.
