Mark your calendars for September 12th. That’s the target date for our first significant cool front. Roving reporter, David Mesch says that a reliable source (Joan O’Brian) claims that the Native Americans used it as a sign that cool weather was on the horizon six weeks after these blooms appeared. Steve Brown has nothing on our prognostications.
Sunday night, Aug 5th, the Space Station will be brightly visible in the south southwestern sky at 9:41 pm travelling towards the southeast and reaching its maximum hight of 63 degrees at 9:45 pm. While it won’t pass directly over us it’ll still be quite a bright spectacle.
