Matthew Smith, 13, harvested this 153 lb boar 600 yards from the front porch of his grandfather, Rolf Smith. The boar was taken where the Alamo Springs Creek (Spring Road) is joined by a seasonal creek in the valley that runs along the bottom of the Smiths’ 52 acres. Two other hogs have also been seen along the creek towards the northern edge of Alamo Springs.
